I have moved all my writing back to my domain for a single reason: Control.
Substack is a great writing platform and I’ve thoroughly been impressed by their creator growth tools. But my “worldbuilding” vision for what I’d like to create has outgrown the platform.
I needed
better tools for reader segmentation,
API/integration, and
better tie-in to our online LEANSTACK tools.
So I have moved off Substack and back to LEANFoundry.com (built on Webflow and Convertkit).
Migration path for existing readers
My goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible for you.
I’ve already migrated your email over to Convertkit so you don’t have to do anything.
Paid subscriptions have been canceled (effective March 16th) so you won’t be billed anymore.
If had access to the Business Model Design masterclass as part of your paid subscription, you’ll continue to access the course and online tools at https://leanfoundry.com/bmd.
Subscription path for new readers
If you’re interested in subscribing, please head on over to https://leanfoundry.com/newsletter.
New site structure
The new site structure will have articles, a weekly newsletter, and a collection of new email-based courses.
1. Articles
You can find all my long-form posts at https://leanfoundry.com/articles.
Rather than a chronological collection of random posts you saw on Substack, I am building up a curated topic-based evergreen repository of articles (a Wikipedia for Continuous Innovation) that will grow over time.
2. Weekly Lean 1-2-3 Newsletter
You’ll continue to receive my weekly newsletter every Saturday. Last week’s issue was delivered this way. If you received it, all is working.
All past issues will be posted here: https://leanfoundry.com/newsletter.
3. Email-based Courses
These are interest-based mini-courses modeled after a “choose your own adventure” storybook. I don’t automatically send these out since you may not be interested in them. You’ll have to explicitly raise your hand (opt-in) to get them.
I currently have 7 of these in progress. Yes, lots of daily writing :)
The first one (Continuous Innovation Foundations) is here.
You’ll discover the other courses along the way.
I will keep the Substack site up for a few additional weeks until I confirm that all the assets have been moved off there and it’s safe to delete the site. Your user record to the substack site will be deleted at that time too.
Onward,
Ash

I perfectly understand this choice. I estimated beginning posting here lately, but the option to do it more freely on a personal website is more attractive to me, even at the cost of the extra work. YMMV.
